Eli Sokolow from The Living Strange will deliver an acoustic set weaving through their discography with spontaneity. A talented and experienced performer, Eli was comfortable and playful during his set, lending itself to easy listening and a shocking display of casual musical talent.
Alicyn Yaffee and her bassist Benny were a fun duo. They both had strong musical skills that played off each other well. I was impressed by both of their dexterity and complexity, using the instruments as showcases for their art and talent.
Alicyn played a short set, her strong and vibrant voice buoy-ed a great performance. Their energy and professionalism was definitely welcome and very enjoyable, especially in the intimate space.

This project could not exist without his work and talent. I am deeply proud and grateful to have him share his music and presence. He is a delightful person, friend, collaborator.

Jared is a talented and confounding artist. His noticeable style blends fascinating stories and characters with detailed and intricate artistry. Pieces often require a second and third look, to capture not only the technical mastery but strangely fantastic environment.
None of these events would be half as good if Jared was not there to fill the walls with varied and wacky art. This time featured many nudes in charcoal on brown paper. They were massive, extremely well done, and added excellent atmosphere to the space. As always, I am deeply proud to show his work and grateful for his support.

The Amazing Amy (Harlib) is over 60 years young and proud of showing what she can do despite her age. She has spent a life time studying all forms of movement and physical theater and became attracted to Chinese martial arts, acrobatics and Yoga in the early 1980s and parlayed that into a solo performance career that took her to Taiwan and back to her native NYC environs to perform in a wide variety of venues until 1994 when injuries forced her to retire with a disintegrated disc in her spine, torn rotator cuffs in both shoulders and arthritis that necessitated a total left hip replacement in 1998. All that time Amy never stopped her Yoga and so hated not performing, that she's using her extreme flexibility and zany imagination to relaunch her career starting in Mar. 2009! A right hip replacement in Jan. 2015, dislocated in April 2015 has not stopped her!
The Amazing Amy has appeared at the Downtown Clown Revue, The Bindlestiff Family Circus Open Variety Show at the Galapagos Arts Space, Cirque Off! at Triskelion Arts Space, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, The House of Yes, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and The Gong Show Live! at B. B. King's, NYC and at The Cutting Room, NYC.

Humbled and Grateful, Winston is proud to be hosting the third iteration of the open mic. He would like people to know that it is often hard, boring, extra work. But he couldn't be happier building an event that artists can perform in without fear and party goers are interested, interesting, and having fun. Please. Keep following. I'm working towards great things, but it takes buy in, and it would be nothing without you. Love. Peace.
